This chapter describes how to download the update firmware for the Internet Fax PC Board,
and the Network Interface Card.
1. Updating the Firmware on I-FAX PC Board
There are two methods to update the firmware on I-FAX PC Board.
• Updating by TOSHIBA Viewer
• Updating by FTP Download

1.1 Updating the Firmware using TOSHIBA Viewer

You can use the TOSHIBA Viewer to download the firmware to the Internet Fax unit.
In order to update the firmware in the Internet Fax unit using the TOSHIBA Viewer, you must
have the firmware files for the TOSHIBA Viewer.
The following shows the firmware files required for the TOSHIBA Viewer:
• Internet Fax Kit program file
• Internet Fax Kit function file
• Internet Fax Kit language file
• Internet Fax Kit Boot file
NOTE:
You can select the firmware files that you would like to update during the operation.
Therefore, all firmware files are not necessarily required.
(1) Run the TOSHIBA Viewer.
(2) At the welcome screen of the TOSHIBA Viewer, click on [Setup]. The Toshiba Setup
dialog appears.
