Inserting a blank space during recording
using the controls on the speaker

While recording, press r REC at the position
where you want to insert the blank space.
The "r" indicator flashes and the tape runs
without recording. After about four seconds, the
"r" and "P" indicators light, and the deck
switches to recording pause mode.

Press P PAUSE to resume recording.
To make a blank of more than 4 seconds
Press r REC for as long as needed.
The r REC indicator flashes faster after four seconds have
elapsed. The tape pauses when you release r REC.
To make a blank less than four seconds long
Press P PAUSE while the r REC indicator is flashing.
