    Notes on Discs On handling discs • To keep the disc clean, handle the disc by its edge. Do not touch the surface. • Do not stick paper or tape on the disc. If there is glue (or a similar substance) on the disc, remove the glue completely before using the disc.

    Getting Started This section describes how to hook up the system to the speakers, a TV monitor with audio/video input jacks and other video component. You cannot connect this system to a TV monitor which does not have a video input connector.

    Inserting batteries into the remote You can control the system using the supplied remote. Insert two size AA (R6) batteries by matching the + and – on the batteries.     Playing Discs This chapter describes how to play a DVD/CD/VIDEO CD. You can playback all the discs (up to 5 discs) placed on the disc tray. Press ?/1 (power switch) to turn the system on. Playing Discs Depending on the DVD or VIDEO CD, some operations may be different or restricted.

    Customizing Sound Fields By adjusting the surround parameters of the front, rear and center speakers, you can customize the sound fields to suit your particular listening situations. Once you customize a sound field, the changes are stored in memory indefinitely (unless the system is unplugged for about a day).
