3. Insert a new slim optical drive into the enclosure until you hear a click. The slim optical drive is secured
in place.

Installing or replacing the fan of the optical/storage combination enclosure
To install or replace the fan on the optical/storage combination enclosure, do the following:
1. Slide the enclosure out of the chassis. See "Installing or replacing an optical drive" on page 109.
2. If you are replacing an old fan, pivot the four retaining clips on the enclosure fan bracket as shown to
disengage the fan from the enclosure.
