    Equipment Base Station Set up the base station and the charger cradle at a central location on a flat, non-slip surface. The phone coverage is up to 50 meters inside buildings, and up to 300 meters in unobstructed outdoor areas. You have two options for power and network connection of the base station: AC power and Power over Ethernet (PoE).

    Handset and Charger Cradle Insert AAA batteries into the handset. For more information about suggested batteries, read the Yealink user manual online. To set up the charger cradle and charge the handset: Connect the DC plug on the power adapter to the DC5V port on the charger cradle.

  • Page 10 To turn the handset on: • Press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up. • Place the handset in the charger cradle. The handset will turn on automatically. To turn the handset off: • Press and hold the Power button when the handset is idle.

    Features Physical Features • Indoor range: 65-164 feet (20-50 meters) • Outdoor range: 984 feet (300 meters) • Standby time: 400 hours • Talk Time: 30 hours Keep in mind that these numbers are in ideal conditions. Other wireless devices, concrete or brick walls, and competing wireless signals from neighbors can cause interference to the range of the phones.

    Ringtones You can set different ringtones to distinguish the incoming lines from each other on your handset, or to distinguish an incoming intercom call. To configure ringtones: Press OK to enter the main menu. Select Settings >> Audio >> Ring Tones >> Melodies. Press the up or down navigation buttons to highlight the Intercom Call option or the desired line.

    Calls To place a call: Enter the desired number using the keypad and then press the Call button or OK. If there are multiple lines assigned to your handset as outgoing lines, press Line to select the desired line and then select OK or Dial to dial out. If you don’t select a line, the handset will use the default outgoing line.
  • Page 14 To place a new call during an active call via the handset: Press Ext.Call. This places the active call on hold. Enter the desired number in the Call To field using the keypad. Press the Call button, the speakerphone button or OK to dial out. You can place at most two calls at one time on your handset.
  • Page 15 To check the local call history: Press History when the handset is idle. Press the up or down navigation buttons to highlight the desired list (All Calls, Outgoing Calls, Missed Calls or Accepted Calls), and then press OK. Press the up or down navigation buttons to highlight an entry, and then select View.
  • Page 16 To retrieve a parked call: Dial *33 plus the seven-digit number of the phone. • If you have four-digit dialing enabled, you must enter the leading number before the seven-digit number. Press the green phone button. Speed Dial You can assign up to eight speed dial numbers to important or frequently called contacts.
  • Page 17 Auto Answer When auto answer is enabled, you can answer incoming calls by picking up the handset from the charger cradle. The auto answer feature works only if the handset is placed in the charger cradle. To configure auto answer: Press OK to enter the main menu.
  • Page 18 Call Transfer You can transfer a call to another party in three different ways: • Blind Transfer: Transfer a call directly to another party without consulting. • Semi-Attended Transfer: Transfer a call when receiving the ring-back. • Attended Transfer: Transfer a call with prior consulting. To perform a blind transfer: Press Options during a call, and then select Transfer.
  • Page 19 Conference Calls The handset supports up to three parties (including yourself) in a conference call. You create a conference between an active call and a held call on the handset (on the same line or different lines). To set up a local conference call via the handset: Place a call to the first party.

    Contacts Local Directory You can store frequently used contacts in the handset’s local directory, which can store up to 100 contacts with a name, a mobile number and an office number. To add a contact: Press OK to enter the main menu. Select the Contacts button.
  • Page 21 To delete a contact: Press OK to enter the main menu. Select the Contacts button. Press the up or down navigation buttons to highlight the desired entry. Press Options, and then select Delete. To search for a contact: Press OK to enter the main menu. Select the Contacts button.
  • Page 22 Blacklist You can store up to 30 contacts in a handset’s blacklist. You will be able to call these numbers, but any incoming calls from a contact in the blacklist will be automatically rejected. To add an entry to the blacklist: Press OK to enter the main menu.

    Voicemail When you receive a new voicemail, the icon appears on the LCD screen with the number of unread voicemails, and the message key LED flashes red. To access your voicemail: Press OK to enter the main menu. Select Voicemail >> Play Message. If you have multiple lines assigned to a handset, the screen will display the number of voice mails for each line.

    Other Lock a Handset To lock the keypad via the handset: Press and hold when the handset is idle until the screen shows “Keypad Locked. Press and hold # to unlock!” The locked icon will appear on the screen. You can still answer or reject incoming calls as usual.

    Do Not Disturb (DND) You can activate or deactivate Do Not Disturb on a per-line basis. When DND is activated, all incoming calls to that line will be rejected automatically and the callers will hear a busy tone. To activate or deactivate: Press OK to enter the main menu.
