AND ALTITUDE ENCODER (BLIND) SUPPLEMENT
TO SELF-TEST TRANSPONDER OPERATION:
1.
Function Selector Switch -- SBY and wait 30 seconds for equip­
ment to warm-up.
2. Function Selector Switch -- ON.
3. TEST Button -- DEPRESS (reply lamp should light brightly
regardless of DIM control setting).
4. TEST Button -- RELEASE for normal operation.

PERFORMANCE
There is no change to the airplane performance when this avionic
equipment is installed. However, the installation of an externally mounted
antenna or several related external antennas, will result in a minor
reduction in cruise performance.
