GROUND SERVICE PLUG
SUPPLEMENT
RECEPTACLE
MODEL T182
The ground service plug receptacle circuit incorporates a polarity
reversal protection. Power from the external power source will flow only
if
the ground service plug is correctly connected to the airplane.
If
the plug is
accidentally connected backwards, no power will flow to the electrical
system, thereby preventing any damage to electrical equipment.
The following check should be made after engine start and removal of
the external power source, if there is any question as to the condition of the
battery.
1.
Master Switch -- OFF.
2.
Taxi and Landing Light Switches -- ON.
3.
Engine RPM -- REDUCE to idle.
4.
Master Switch -- ON (with taxi and landing lights turned on).
5.
Engine RPM -- INCREASE to approximately 1500 RPM.
6.
Ammeter and Low-Voltage Warning Light -- CHECK.
NOTE
If
the ammeter does not show a charge or the low-voltage
warning light does not go out, the battery should be
removed from the airplane and properly serviced prior to
flight.
SECTION 5
PERFORMANCE
There is no change to the airplane performance when the ground
service plug receptacle is installed.
