Configuring Module and Facility Messages Logging

You can configure the severity level and time-stamp units of messages logged by modules and facilities.

Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables module log messages that have the specified severity
level or higher. Severity levels range from 0 to 7:
• 0 – emergency
• 1 – alert
• 2 – critical
• 3 – error
• 4 – warning
• 5 – notification
• 6 – informational
• 7 – debugging
If the severity level is not specified, the default of 5 is used.
Enables logging messages from the specified facility that have
the specified severity level or higher. Severity levels from 0 to
7:
• 0 – emergency
• 1 – alert
• 2 – critical
• 3 – error
• 4 – warning
• 5 – notification
• 6 – informational
• 7 – debugging
