Error Message Displayed

When a problem occurs with the FK-102 Type-A, the following error messages are displayed in
the screen that appears by pressing COM. Take corrective actions by referring to the explana-
tion. If the document still cannot be sent properly even after attempting to correct the problem,
please contact your service representative.

An error has occurred during transmission. Although redialing was attempted,
the document was still unable to be sent. Resend the page(s) displayed.
Polling transmission was unable to be performed even though polling instruc-
tions were received from a remote station. Is the machine ready for polling trans-
mission? If it is not, store the original in memory by referring to "Polled
Transmission" (p. 12-2).
Although the set number of redials were attempted, the receiving machine was
busy. Resend after confirming the status of the receiving machine.
This indicates a state in which the machine is unable to receive. Telephone the
receiving remote destination, confirm the status and then try resending the docu-
ment.
An error has occurred during reception and the document was unable to be
received. Ask the sender to send the document again.

When the memory becomes full reading the document:
To transmit the document which was read, press the [START] or press the
[STOP] to discontinue the transmission.
* If memory over occurs often, it is recommended to extend the optional memory. Contact
your service representative.

When the file memory becomes full while the document is being read:
To transmit the document having been read, press the [START] and to discon-
tinue the transmission, press the [STOP].
Or, print the bulletin board file or confidential file to empty the memory.

When the file memory becomes full while the document is being received:
Check the Communication Journal and ask the transmitter to transmit again.
* If memory over occurs often, it is recommended to extend the optional harddisk. Contact
your service representative.

If the memory on the facsimile kit becomes full while the document is being
read:
To transmit the document having been read, press the [START] or to discontinue
the transmission, press the [STOP].

When the facsimile kit memory has become full during transmission:
After completion of transmission, check the Communication Journal. In case of
transmission, transmit again from the page which was not transmitted. In case of
reception, ask the transmitter to transmit again.
