PRECAUTIONS

1. Precautions when handling and using the product
Charging, Feeding, Batteries
U se DT-9723LIC as the lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack. Do not use DT-9023Li. Doing so may cause

malfunction of the product.
W hen charging a DT-9723LIC as a single battery pack, use a special charger for DT-9723LIC. Use of a
2
charger other than designated may cause result in failure in charging.
A secondary battery is used as a backup. Do not replace the main battery when the backup battery is not
3
yet fully charged. Removing the main battery while the backup battery is used-up may cause deletion of
data.
R eplace the main battery in 10 minutes (when the backup battery is fully charged).

Data inside the product may be deleted if the product is left without the main battery for more than 10 min-
utes.
T he rechargeable battery pack may suffer from low voltage due to shipping inspection and natural dis-

charge. Make sure to charge the rechargeable battery pack before using the product.
L ife of the rechargeable battery pack will be shortened as it is repeatedly charged and discharged. Re-

place the rechargeable battery pack when continuous operating time becomes extremely shorter even if it
is fully charged.
M emory (RAM) can be backed up for about 10 minutes without the main battery when the backup battery
7
is fully charged.
B ackup battery becomes fully charged in four days when a main battery is loaded.

C harging the product without loading the rechargeable battery pack will also light the charge LED.

Make sure to load the rechargeable battery pack DT-9723LIC when charging.
W hen the product power is turned on, the protection timer may stop charging the rechargeable battery
bk
pack, which may not yet be in full charge, 10 hours after the start of charging.
CAUTION
RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE.
DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Printer, Printing, Paper
U se printer paper recommended by CASIO.

P erform paper width setting (58mm/80mm) before using the printer for the first time.

D o not mix paper of the different paper widths (58m/80mm) when using the printer. Doing so may damage
3
the printer. Printing onto paper of the width of 80mm cannot be done after printing onto paper of the width
of 58mm.
A ttach an optional holder for cut paper when using cut paper.

R efer to the precautions written in the User's Guide for the details of printing and storing paper, etc.

A printer does not operate when the remaining capacity (voltage) of the rechargeable battery is below the
6
level to operate the printer.
Other
T his product uses sensitive wireless communication. In order to perform good communication, do not use

devices that emit radio waves (such as a cell phone) near the product during the communication. If such
devices must be used, keep them away from the product (ex. keep a cell phone away from the product for
more than 30 cm.).
R efer to the User's Guide for the precautions for the wireless communication.

2. Storage
R emove the battery when storing the product for a long period of time.

A void storing the product in the environment with higher temperature such as inside a car.

S et printer paper in order to prevent damage to the printer when not using the product for a long period of

time.
