4 Maintenance
WARNING
Hazardous voltages

properly main ta in
the equip-

The
instruct ions contained
in this chap-
ter and on product labels have to be fol-
low ed.
• Mai
ntenance
shall be performed only
by
qualified
personnel.
• Always
de-energ ize
and ground the
equipment before main
tenance.
The
DC-link capacitors
cause high vo
lt-
age
t
o persist for a short
time
(about
4
minutes)
after
disconnection
from
the
supply.
Some
parts
remain
li
ve even when the
motor is stat
ionary.
Use only
authorized
spare parts in the
repa
ir
o
f
the equ
ipment.

Maintenance instructions
The
transistor DCchopper
does not require any
maintenance.
The bear
ings
of the unit fans are
permanently
lubricated.
