The Android™ sets can connect to a local network via wireless WiFi. The optional WiFi adaptor

Standard Apps There are several standard apps and folders provided with the HCI Android sets specifically tailored
for use by medical facilities. Apps not listed may be installed at HCI's discretion or by request.

Select or click on the Settings app.
Enter password.
Select or click on Wireless and networks.
Press the "ENTER" button or click on the first line to turn the WiFi adaptor on and off. A
check in the box on the right side of the line indicates WiFi adaptor is on. Must be ON for
wireless connectivity.
Select Wi-Fi settings.
Turn the WiFi adaptor on and off by clicking on the first line or selecting with the up/down
arrow buttons and pressing the "ENTER" button. A check in the box on the right side of the
line indicates the WiFi is on. Must be on for wireless connectivity.
You will see a list of available WiFi networks. Select or click on the network you wish to
connect to. A window will open showing security type and signal strength. Select or click
the "Connect" button. If the network you selected is a password protected network you will
be asked for the password first. Contact your network administrator for the password. If
you wish to see the password as you enter it select or click the show password box. When
finished select or click the "Connect" button.
Note: When WiFi is turned on all network communications will be via WiFi. The RJ-45
Ethernet port will not be used even if it is enabled.
In a few seconds you will see the connected ICON appear in the upper right corner of the
screen next to the time display. If an incorrect password was entered the set will attempt to
connect but will show disconnected. The connected ICON will still appear but no data will
flow.
If your network does not show in the list you can add it manually by selecting or clicking on
Add Wi-Fi network.

Select or click the "Save" button.
