Troubleshooting

Problem
Pressure washer will not start.
Pressure washer will not start;
Pressure washer starts but runs
roughly.
Pressure washer gallops.
Unit does not reach high pressure.
Spray pressure varies from high to low.
Low pressure detergent wash is not
functioning properly.
Garden hose connection leaks.
Spray wand leaks
Can't pull recoil

Cause
No fuel.
Faulty spark plug.
Low oil level.
Choke in the wrong position.
Spark plug wire loose.
Engine governor defective.
Water supply is restricted.
Garden hose is too small.
Garden hose inlet filter is clogged.
Not enough inlet water.
Poor inlet water supply.
Garden hose inlet filter is clogged.
Spray nozzle is obstructed.
Pump is sucking air.
Detergent is too thick
Spray wand has high pressure quick
connect nozzle installed
Detergent hose is not connected to the
pump housing
Spray nozzle is obstructed
Filter on detergent hose is clogged
Chemical Injector valve (inside pump)
partially blocked or stuck
Detergent tube not connected to the brass
fitting on the pump outlet
Loose fittings
Missing/worn-out rubber washer
Spray wand not properly attached
Pump will build pressure with each pull
SPECIFICATIONS
Solution
Add fuel.
Replace spark plug.
Fill crankcase to the proper level. Place
pressure washer on a flat, level surface.
Adjust choke.
Attach wire to spark plug.
Contact the help line.
Check hoses for leaks, blockage, kinks.
Replace with 5/8 in. garden hose or larger.
Remove garden hose, clean filter and
rinse out.
Turn garden hose water on full force.
Turn garden hose water on full force.
Check hose for leaks, blockage, or kinks
Remove garden hose, clean filter and
rinse out
Remove particles with small wire rod
(see maintenance section in manual)
Check all hoses and fittings, make sure
they are securely tightened down and
fastened. Turn off engine and purge pump
by squeezing trigger gun until a steady
stream of water flows
Dilute detergent
Detergent only works with low pressure
quick connect nozzle (black)
Check connection.
Clean nozzle and remove debris
Clean with warm water or replace
Quickly pull and release the gun trigger
4-5 time to clear the chemical injector
valve
Install detergent tube to detergent injector
inlet near pump outlet
Tighten
Replace rubber washer
Tighten all connections
Pull gun trigger after 2 pulls of recoil, to
release pump pressure
