Remove the wheel.

Carefully press brake pads apart to the stop with transport device

If sufficient hose length is available, the ideal solution is to cut off

the hose before loosening the sleeve nut. This prevents the entry
of air into the brake lever.
Make sure that there is sufficient hose available.

Cut off the brake hose approx. 10–15 cm before the sleeve

The support sleeve must be used exclusively with MAGURA brake

hoses labelled with the words MAGURA disc-tube. Note the identi-
fication of your brake hose!
Insert the brake hose into the brake lever to the stop.

Hold the brake hose to the stop until you finish tightening the

The thread of the sleeve nut is no longer visible.

Pull the brake hose to ensure that it is tight.

Install wheel with mounted disc brake rotor or insert transport

Pull and hold the brake lever several times and check:

No oil is leaking from any part of the brake system.
Pressure point is clearly noticeable and does not change.
In general it is not necessary to bleed the brake hose after short-

ening it. However, if air enters the brake system and there is no
stable pressure point, you must bleed your brake – see
