NOTE
When the power saving is active, the receiver may have different response times when switching from standby,
depending on whether it is in deep standby or alert. In particular, from deep standby, the response time takes
many seconds, corresponding to a complete startup of the system. To always get a quick startup of the receiver
in power standby state, you must disable the Power savings from this menu.

3.6.2.1 Software Upgrade
For the use of any new services of broadcasters or new functions on the receiver, we recommend that you keep
updated the device software.
The software update over the air (Over The Air-OTA), which allows the receiver to download data directly from
the antenna signal, is configurable with the OTA Settings form.
Operating Mode: If this option is activated (ON) and the receiver is on, it will indicate the presence of a

new software only if broadcast on the channel being viewed.

In Standby: the receiver is set in factory so as to verify the software update in standby (ON) daily at
04:00. Alternatively, it can be configured differently by changing the Frequency and Time parameters in
the menu, and be deactivated (OFF).

Search mode: In automatic mode (Auto), the receiver will scan OTA on all available digital terrestrial
frequencies. Instead, opting for the manual mode, users can insert data for a search on a particular
frequency.
Search for an OTA software update, it can also be initiated at any time by the user, pressing the Green button
(update via OTA).
WARNING
The operation and installation of new software over the air can take a long time, even hours, especially in case
of low update rate and/or difficult reception. During this period please not interact with the receiver and do not
disconnect the power supply: risk of irreversible receiver block!
As an alternative to over-the-air update, the receiver is software upgradeable:
via USB port, press the Blue button (update via USB), after inserting a USB stick containing the
appropriate software image
via the internet, connecting to the update server of the
(Updates via IP).
WARNING
During a software update, interact with the receiver nor pull out the power supply: risk of irreversible block of the
receiver!
