1.3.3 Programming TV button
1.3.3.1 TV code change
TV codes are predefined in the list annexed to these instructions (see Appendix A). First identify the brand of
TV that you want to control, then follow the steps listed below:
1.
Turn on the TV that you want to control.
2.
Hold down the TV button for more than 3 seconds until the LED on the remote control indicator remains lit.
3.
Enter the 4-digit code that corresponds to the brand of your TV to be controlled by the numeric buttons 0-9.

If the code entered is valid, the LED will turn off. Otherwise, in case of wrong code, it will flash for 3 times
before going off and, in that case, programming will terminate.(start again from point 1).
5.
Make sure your TV responds properly to the remote control buttons, at least basic functions. If not, repeat
the programming the TV button by using another code, between those on the list of the brand of your TV
(resume from point 1).
If your brand is not in the list or none of the default codes allows you to control your TV, try to identify or define
an appropriate program by following one of the following methods.
1.3.3.2 Manual TV Code Search
1.
Turn on the TV that you want to control.
2.
Point the remote control at the IR sensor of your television and keep it focused throughout the procedure.
3.
Hold down the TV button for more than 3 seconds until the LED on the remote control indicator remains lit.
4.
Press the button(sign) POWER or PROG + /PROG-.
5.
As soon as the TV responds correctly to the command, turning or changing channels (in accordance with
the button pressed), press the OK button to store the code. The LED then goes off.
Verify that the TV responds properly to the other buttons on the remote control, at least basic functions. If not,
continue the search for an appropriate code by repeating the procedure (resume from point 1).
1.3.3.3 TV code identification in use
Code identification allows to recognize the code currently used by the TV remote control. Proceed as follows:
1.
Hold down the TV button for more than 3 seconds until the LED on the remote control indicator remains lit.
2.
Press the STB button for about 3 seconds, then release it when the LED turns on.
3.
To find the first digit TV code with four digits, select the numeric buttons from 0 to 9 until the LED indicator
of the remote control emits a single flash. The figure which is flashing is the correct one.
4.
To find the second, third and fourth digit of the code, repeat as described in paragraph 3.
5.
After the last digit, the identification of the entire TV code is finished and the LED will turn off.
NOTE
If the button TV has not been programmed or the remote control has been reset (par. 1.3.3.5), the code is
detected 0000.
1.3.3.4 Programming by learning
TV codes listed in Appendix A already provide basic functions to control the TV. You can still extend the
programs associated with the default TV codes by learning function. To take advantage of learning programming,
you must have the original remote control of your TV. Use new batteries for the remote control to program the
original TV decoder.
1.
Hold down the TV button for more than 3 seconds until the LED on the remote control indicator remains lit.
2.
Press the
SOURCE button for about 3 seconds, until the LED starts flashing, then release it.
3.
Aim the transmitter of original TV remote control at the sensor IR of the remote control of the decoder, with
a distance of about 3 centimeters. Make sure the two IR sensors are aligned throughout the procedure.
4.
Press a single remote control button of the decoder that you want to program: the LED will remain
constantly lit.
5.
Press the button on the original remote control of the TV set, corresponding to the function of the decoder
remote control button you selected in the previous step. On command, the LED on the remote control
decoder will flash again and the remote control will be waiting for the next acquisition.
NOTE
The acquisition is not immediate, it may take up to 2 or 3 seconds.
6.
Repeat the two previous steps, 4 and 5, for all buttons to be programmed.
