1 Section for installation
1.1Safety and disposal
For safe use of the appliance, and for personal safety, we recommend you to read carefully the following advice
regarding the security measures.
POWER SUPPLY
When plugging into the power supply, the receiver must only be connected with the 230V~ 50Hz POWER
SOCKET.
Do not remove the cover of the receiver. There may have been higher voltages inside the unit which
will endanger the user. The high voltage is present even when the appliance is in standby mode, before
working on the receiver you must disconnect it from the electric power. Unauthorized dismantle will
immediately void the warranty!
POWER CORD
Before installing the product, check the integrity of the supply cable of the power supply. Pay particular
attention to the point where it enters the outlet and that in which comes out from the receiver. If the cord is
damaged, do not plug the appliance and contact the Service Center.
Install the power cord of the appliance so as not to cause crushing with placed objects over or next to
it. Also avoid placing it near passageways where it can be accidentally stepped on, torn or otherwise
damaged.
In case the cable is damaged, please disconnect the device from the power supply and contact exclusively
to qualified staff or Service Centre for replacement.
LIQUIDS
Keep the receiver away from any kind of liquid. Do not place objects filled with liquids on the product like
vases, humidifiers etc. The appliance must not be installed in places where it may contact with spray or
liquid splashing or in environments with high humidity where condensation may form.
If the receiver is in contact with liquids, immediately remove the plug from the socket. DO NOT TOUCH
the receiver with your hands before it is disconnected.
SMALL ITEMS
Keep the receiver away from pins or other small items. Falling objects into the device, through the slits for
ventilation, can cause serious damage.
CLEANING
Prior to cleaning, disconnect the receiver from the power supply.
To clean the exterior of the receiver, use a soft dry or slightly water moistened cloth. Avoid using chemicals
or solvents.
VENTILATION
Make sure that there is a good air circulation in the installation place of the appliance to allow sufficient
heat dissipation and avoid overheating.
To allow adequate ventilation, it is recommended to provide a minimum distance of 10 cm from both sides
and a distance of 15 cm above the appliance.
The slits for ventilation must be free, not obstructed by type objects, newspapers, tablecloths by furnishing
fabrics, curtains, carpets etc.
Do not install the receiver near any heat sources (radiators, heaters, etc.) or on other devices that
produces heat (AMPS, VCRs, etc.).
ATTENTION!
Keep the product out of the reach of children.
The packing plastic bags can be dangerous. Keep the bags away of the reach of children to avoid
suffocation.
Do not expose the receiver or the remote control to direct sunlight.
The appliance must be placed on a solid and secure base.
Connect the device to the power supply only after you have completed the installation.
DISPOSAL
The symbol indicates that it is prohibited to dispose of this product in the environment or throw it
in the mixed municipal waste. Who does not respect this rule will be punished by the legislation
force.
A proper disposal of the appliance can avoid potential damage to the environment and human
health, as well as facilitate recycling of components and materials contained in it, with a result
of saving energy and resources.
