when mounted on a vertical surface. The same mounting bracket is also used to secure the
OptEnet Media Converter Set Top Unit to the bottom of a work surface.
Note: Allow allow six inches (15.3 cm) on both ends of the set top unit for cable access.
1. Locate the OptEnet Converter Set Top Unit so that there is access to the front and rear.
Link LEDs and fiber connections are located on the front. Power Led, Alarm LED, and
power connection are located on the rear.
2. Using the mounting bracket as a template mark and drill holes in the mounting surface.
3. Secure mounting bracket to surface with appropriate fasteners for the surface material.
(#10 wood screws or machine screws depending on the mounting surface.)
4. Align the slots on the rear face of the set top unit with the mounting bracket. See
Slide set top unit into the mounting bracket.
5. Connect the power supply to the DC IN connector located on the back of the OptEnet
Converter Set Top Unit.
a. If using AC power, connect the power supply to the AC line source (110 – 240 VAC,
50 – 60 Hz).
b. If using DC power, connect power following local practices. See
Specifications
6. Verify that the POWER LED is lit.
