Sending An Emergency Alarm

"Emergency" signals a critical situation where injury to District and other
personnel or destruction of District property is imminent or has already
occurred. It should never be used for any other reason.
NOTE: The emergency button will only work when the radio is positioned in a
trunked Talkgroup. The DIRECT 1 and DIRECT 2 positions (C1 & C2) operate in
conventional mode, rendering the emergency button inoperable.
You Do
1. Press the orange Emergency
Button for .75 seconds.

The red LED lights and the emergency
signal is transmitted. A central
acknowledgement (1 beep) indicates
that the alarm was received by the
system.
A console acknowledgement (five
beeps) and an "ACK RECEIVED" in
the display indicate that the alarm was
received by the dispatch console. The
alarm will continue at the dispatch
console until cleared by a dispatcher,
only after communications with the
individual who set off the alarm.
The display will flash alternately be-
tween "EMERGENCY" and the
Talkgroup you were using when the
emergency button was pushed.
