Real Time MPEG 2 Streaming Encoder
Program streams interleaves video and audio
into a multiplex that is ideally suited to storage
and IP streaming applications.
Transport streams interleave video and audio
into either 188 or 204 Byte Packets that carry
PCR to synchronize remote decoders, typically
a set top box.
Program streams are output via Ethernet or IP.
Transport streams output via the ASI output.
Program or Transport stream is encoded to the
hard drive. The file name is defaulted to
encode.mpg. When the Stop button is hit, a
rename modal pops up, enter the designated
eight-character file name at that time.
