Connecting to the Edje-2000

Note the
connection
status bar
provides
connection
information
when
connecting
to a unit.
Note: Make certain the 9 Pin communications port to RJ-11 adaptor is used
to connect the PC to the Edje-2000.

Assumption here is the connection is Serial RS232 using the factory
default Baud Tae of 38,400, 8 Data Bits, 1 Stop Bit, and No Parity.

Connection Status Bar

When a serial or Ethernet connection is established, the edje-2000 GUI
must retrieve the current encoding status and parameters. During this
process, "ATTEMPTING TO LOAD UNIT SETTINGS" will be displayed.
Once the unit settings are loaded a brief "UNIT SETTINGS LOADED"
dialog is displayed. The initial connection may take a few seconds. If the
process fails, the "NOT CONNECTED" dialog is displayed.
