Field Description
IPv6 Select the option to determine how the IPv6 address for
the management interface is configured:
Connection
Type
• DHCPv6 — The Access Point acquires its IPv6 address,
DNS, and gateway information from a DHCPv6 server
•
Static IPv6 — You must enter information in the Static
IPv6 Address, Prefix length, and Default Gateway
fields
Note: If the selected connection type is DHCPv6, only
the IPv6 Connection Type, IPv6 Admin Mode, and IPv6
Auto Config Admin Mode can be configured All other
fields are for static IPv6 configuration only
IPv6 Admin Enable or disable IPv6 management access to the AP

IPv6 Auto Enable or disable IPv6 auto address configuration on the
AP

When IPv6 Auto Config Mode is enabled, automatic
IPv6 address configuration and gateway configuration
is allowed by processing the Router Advertisements
received on the LAN port The AP can have multiple auto
configured IPv6 addresses
Static IPv6 Enter a static IPv6 address The AP can have a static IPv6
address even if addresses have already been configured

Select the method to use to configure the IPv6 address

are assigned automatically via DHCPv6 This option
is only available if you specified DHCPv6 for the
Connection Type
• Manual — You must assign static IPv6 addresses to
resolve domain names
NOTE:
After you configure the wired settings, you must click Save to apply the
changes and save the changes to startup configuration file Changing
some settings might cause the AP to stop and restart system processes
If this happens, wireless clients will temporarily lose connectivity We
recommend that you change AP settings when WLAN traffic is low
