1) Clean any mud, dirt, debris, etc, from the area around
the trimmer head; otherwise, it will make it more difficult
to service.
2) Remove the spool from spindle. Then remove the old
nylon line.
3) Measure approximately 2 meters of line, and then
thread one end through the hole on the spool. Pull the line
until the two line lengths are equal (See Fig. L1).
4) Wind both lines tightly and evenly from side to side
and feed the line while turning the spool in the direction
of the arrow winding clockwise. Do not allow the lines to
become twisted (See Fig. L2).
It is important to prevent the two lines from becoming
twisted with each other. Position a finger between the
lines as you turn the spool to prevent any twisting.
5) When you have about 6 inches (150mm) of line
remaining, press the line into the two notches on the
bottom of the spool. This will hold the line on the spool for
reassembly (See Fig. L3).
6) Put the Washer on the position as show in Fig. L5.
Insert each end of the cutting lines through the eyelets in
the cutting head (See Fig. L4).
7) Once the spool is in place, apply pressure on the spool
and compress the spring. Depress the button and rotate
the spool anticlockwise. Pull each end of the lines sharply
to unlock the line from the slots. Then locate the spool
over the spindl. (See Fig. L5).
