SAFE OPERATING PRECAUTIONS

For your safety, avoid starting or operating the engine in
enclosed areas, such as a garage. Your engines exhaust
contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas, which can
collect rapidly in an enclosed area and cause illness or
death.
If the Brush cutter/Line trimmer starts to shake or vibrate,
stop the engine imme-diately.
After the cutter blade has completely stopped, inspect it
to determine the cause of the vibration. Sudden vibration
is a sign of a hazardous problem, such as a loose or
damaged blade. Do not operate the cutter until the
problem has been corrected.

STARTING THE MACHINE

NOTE: It is normal for blue smoke to emit from a
new 2-stroke engine during and after first use.
WARNING! Avoid contact with exhaust;
a hot exhaust can cause serious burns!
The cutting attachment should not rotate at
idle. If attachment rotates, readjust carburetor
according to "Carburetor Adjustment"
instructions in this manual, otherwise this may
result in serious personal injury.
Set the product on the ground, resting on the safety
guard and the fuel tank. Do not allow the cutting
attachment to come into contact with any obstructions.
Always rest the product on the ground for starting.
(See Fig. H1). Do not start whilst in the operating position.
This prevents the end of the product from swinging into
something as you start the engine.
Quick start guidelines.
WARNING! Lay the unit on a flat, clear area to
avoid the cutting attachment coming into contact
with objects whilst the engine is starting.
2. Starting cold engine
1) Start / Stop Switch
Move Start / Stop ignition switch (8) to start position away
from the STOP position (See Fig. H2).
