Fabrication of the coaxial cable

When you connect the IF-7100 with a radar or ECDIS using the coaxial cable, prepare
the optional cable shown below.
• BNCX5-DSUB15-L400: D-SUB-BNC connector cable
• CP24-01200/01210*: Coaxial cable (six core, unfabricated) with BNC connectors
*: When you need either the coaxial cable or the BNC connector individually, prepare
the optional ECX-3C-2V-T cable (three core) and FB-SPM1D+ connector (BNC con-
nector).
Fabricate the coaxial cable as follows:
CP24-01200/01210:
Attach the BNC connectors, referring to

"How to attach the BNC connector".

How to attach the BNC connector
1. Pass the clamping nut, washer, and
gasket onto the cable.
3. Remove the shield and insulator by 3
mm.

Wrap the vinyl tape after
connecting the BNC connectors.

Shield:
Fix to the frame ground.

Remove the vinyl sheath by 7 mm.
4.
Pass the clamp onto the cable and
fold back the shield on to the clamp.
