4.7 ON-BOARD GIGABIT ETHERNET INTERFACE

The on-board Gigabit Ethernet Interface can be used for TCP/IP communication with a
remote or local host computer by connecting the reader to either a LAN or directly to a host
PC. There is no need to use a crossover adapter since Matrix 450N incorporates an auto-
cross function.
A CAB-GE0x cable can be used to connect to a LAN.
On the Matrix 450N on-board Gigabit Ethernet interface the following communication
channels are available:

TCP Client

TCP Server

UDP Client

FTP Client
The following Fieldbus protocols are also available over the on-board Gigabit Ethernet
interface:

EtherNet/IP

Modbus TCP Client
