Removing the processor heat-
sink
WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety

CAUTION: For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat
transfer areas on the heat sink. The oils in your skin can reduce the heat
transfer capability of the thermal grease.

Prerequisites

Remove the
USB dongle-bay

Remove the
back

Remove the
system-board

Procedure

NOTE: Depending on the configuration you ordered, the appearance of the
processor heat-sink and the number of screws may differ.

In sequential order (indicated on the heat sink), loosen the captive screws that
secure the processor heat-sink to the system board.

Remove the screw (M3X4) that secures the processor heat-sink fan to the
middle frame
