Installation and pipe fitting - Spare parts

INSTALLATION - IMPORTANT:
1.
The water heater must be installed in a room with a gully. Otherwise a sensor controlled water
shut-off valve must be fitted.
2.
The water heater must be positioned to allow access to valves and electrical equipment. Ensure
min. 400 mm. space in front of el. box for service purposes.
3.
Incoming CW pressure should be max. 6 bar. If higher fit reduction valve.
4.
Safety valve overflow pipe min. 18 mm. internally, uninterruptable, frost free and sloping to gully.
Warning: Consequential damage liability is only valid if these rules are followed. All piping and elec-
trical installation must be performed py authorized personnel.

Unpacking - positioning:

1.
Remove packaging carefully. Avoid dents and scratches.
2.
Install the mixing valve with CW feed pipe. Insert into top connection and press down firmly.
Important: When chloridic content in water exceeds 50 mg Cl/l. fit CW anode pipe kit (see Spare
parts). Chloridic contend exceeding 250 mg Cl/l. annuls guarantee.
3.
Fit the water heater in the desired position, floor or wall hanging installation possible (use sup-
plied wall bracket). Ensure floor/wall is able to withstand the weight of the water heater when
filled with water. The water heater must be installed in a room with a gully. Otherwise a sensor
controlled water shut-off valve must be fitted - see 'Installation'.
4.
CW and HW pipes are drawn to the mixing valve which can be rotated to the desired position
before tightening the compression ring connection to the water heater.
Important: Fill unit with water before power supply is turned on, otherwise the guarantee is void.
Newly installed unit must be flushed with water once a week if not in service. Note: If incoming CW
pressure exceeds 6 bar a reduction valve and expansion vessel must be fitted if required. After instal-
lation check that all pipe connections are water tight - re-check annually.
El. installation:
All internal wiring is factory fitted. The RD is fitted with power cable and plug. Power mist not
be turned on until unit is filled with water. Local regulations must be followed when installing.

Draining:

Turn off power supply. Shut off main water supply. Open HW faucet. If the unit is installed in a room
with a gully remove the drain plug and allow the water to drain. For quicker draining open valve
overflow by turning know clockwise until it stays open. If unit is not fitted in a room with a gully a
3/4" hose nipple must be fitted to the overflow outlet. To close valve turn know further clockwise
until the valve snaps shut.
