Top Cowl Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
Unlock the top cowl by pulling out on the rear cowl latch. Lift the top cowl off the
engine.
INSTALLATION
Bring the front of the cowl down first and engage the front cowl hook. Lower the
cowl into the seated position and apply downward pressure to the back of the
cowl to lock it in place. Ensure the cowl is securely fastened by trying to pull up
on the back of the cowl.

Battery Inspection

The battery should be inspected at periodic intervals to ensure proper engine
starting capability.
IMPORTANT: Read the safety and maintenance instructions which accompany
your battery.
1. Turn off the engine before servicing the battery.
2. Ensure the battery is secure against movement.
3. Battery cable terminals should be clean, tight, and correctly installed.
Positive to positive and negative to negative.
