This is done by disengaging the shift mechanism from the control handle. Normal maintenance service and replacement parts are the responsibility of the owner/operator and as such, are not considered defects in workmanship or material within the terms of the warranty.

A sudden loss of pressure could cause hot coolant to boil and discharge violently. After the engine has cooled, turn the cap 1/4 turn to allow any pressure to escape slowly, then push down and turn the cap all the way off.
