Press the [Subaddress] and [Password]
keys, and enter a subaddress or password.
Subaddress and Password
You can set up an ITU-T standard subaddress
and password. This setting is needed when
sending and receiving between Memory RX
boxes using ITU-T standards.
• [Space]:
Press to place an interval
(space).
• [Backspace]: Press to correct errors, by moving
the cursor back to delete one
space at a time.
NOTE
• The subaddress and password can have up to 20
digits.
Clear
• Press the
• Input may include the digits 0 to 9, as well as

Select a speed from the Send Start Speed
drop-down list box.
Send Start Speed
If too many errors occur when sending at 33600
bps, change the send speed to 14400 bps,
9600 bps, and 4800 bps, in that order.
NOTE
• The factory setting is 33600 bps.

Select a communication method from the
Long Distance drop-down list box.
Long Distance
If errors occur when sending faxes overseas,
use the [Long Distance (1)] setting. If errors do
not improve, use [Long Distance (2)], then [Long
Distance (3)], in that order.
NOTE
• The factory setting is Domestic.
