Appendix. Troubleshooting
Make sure that all cables are well-seated. Check that the keyboard/mouse cables
are not swapped. Label and bundle the cables for each computer to avoid
confusion when connected to the KVM switch.
A.1 Problems/Causes/Solutions
Symptom: Mouse does not work.
Causes:
• Too many mouse drivers are on in the computer.
• In Auto Scan, keyboard and mouse are not operable.
Solutions:
• Make sure that there is only one mouse driver installed on each computer.
• Remove all unnecessary keyboards and mouse drivers.
• Press any front-panel button to select a computer, then use the keyboard and
mouse.
Symptom: Monitor works fine but keyboard and mouse do not work.
Causes:
• Check the keyboard and mouse connection; be sure that the cables are not
swapped.
• Incorrect cables.
Solution:
• Connect the cables according to the keyboard and mouse marks on the
connectors.
