8. Remove the side collar from the oil seal in the rear wheel
hub.
9. Remove the rear brake panel assembly from the hub.
lO. Remove the bearing retainer from the hul;> with "Bearing
Retainer Wrench" (Tool No. 07910-2830000). Remove
the oil seal, bal1 bearings and spacer collar.
Il. Loosen off the lock nut and remove the brake arm, wear
indicator and dust seal from the brake panel.
12. Pry off the cotter pio; remove the brake shoes, brake caro
and brake shoe springs.

Inspection
1. Check the rear wheel ax1e for bendo
Standard value:
O.OSmm (O.OO20-in.) max.
~ervice limit:
O.2mm (O.OO79-in.)
2. Check the hall bearings for play.
Standard axial play: O.O7mm (O.OO28-in.) max.
Service limit:
O.lmm (O.OO4-in.)
Standard radiai play: O.OOS-O.O20mm
(O.OOO2-0.0008-in.)
Service limit:
O.O6mm (O.OO24-in.)
3. Check the rim for face runout.
Standard value: O.Smm (O.O197-in.) max.
S~rvice limit:
2.0mm (O.O787-in.)
4. Check the spokes for looseness, bend or other damage.
S. Check the final driven sprocket for excessive wear or any
other damage.
6. Check the drive chain for wear, damage or elongation.
7. Check the brake lining for wear.
Standard value:
5.0mm (O.197-in.)
Service limit:
2.0mm (O.O79-in.)
8. Check the brake panel for damage or crack.
9. Check the brake drum for wear or damage.
Standard brake drum I.D.: 180mm (7.0866-in.)
Service limit:
181mm (7.1260-in.)
lO. Check the oil seals for wear or damage.

Assembly
l. Hand pack the hall bearing and hub with grease.
Using
"Bearing
Driver
Attachment"
(Tool
No.
07946-3290000),
(07946-3600000)
and
"Driver
Handlee" (Tool No. 07949-6110000),
drive fit the beaTo
ings into the wheel hub through the spacer collar.
NOTE:
Install the bearings with the seal side toward the outside.
Do noi angle the spacer collar while driving.
2. Drive a new oil se al in the wheel hub.
3. lnstall
the bearing
retainer using "Bearing
Retainer
Wrench" (Tool No. 07910-2830000).
Stake the bearing
retainer at two places as shown in Fig. 5-54.
4. lnstall the driven sprocket fixing bolts to the pivot bushings
of the wheel hub. PIace the driven sprocket so that its
groove align with the flanges of the fixing bolts and secure
it with the snap fingo
