PRE-OPERATING PREPARATIONS
1. Before opening fuel tank cap, turn air
vent screw two times counterclock-
wise to release air pressure in the fuel
tank.

2. Open the fuel tank cap slowly.
3. Fill the fuel not to over the shown level.

4. After filling the tank, close the tank cap.

3. Engine oil recommendation

CAUTION
The engine oil is drained for shipping from
the factory. Be sure to fill the engine to the
proper level before starting engine. (To
properly fill the engine with oil follow the
instructions, See page 45)
Use only high quality 4-stroke engine oil to
insure performance and prolonged engine

life.
The SAE oil viscosity 10W-30 or 10W-40
outboard motor engine oil is recom-
mended.
You can also use oils that carry the API rat-
ing of SH, SJ, or SL. Select the appropri-
ate viscosity, based on atmospheric
temperature, from the chart below.
