Safety
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical
or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone who does not
have the proper experience or knowledge of the product unless they have been
instructed in its use by someone who takes full responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with the product.
• The kettle should only be used as described in this instruction manual.
• Place the kettle on a dry and even surface.
• The kettle should only be used and stored indoors.
• Place the electric kettle in a secure place and out of children's reach to reduce
the risk of scalding from boiling water.
• Always unplug the product from the wall socket before cleaning it or when it is not
to be used for a long time.
• The exterior of the kettle should not be exposed to water or other liquids.
If the exterior of the kettle is wet, pull out the plug and dry the kettle using a cloth.
• Never immerse the base in water.
• Check that your power supply is 230 V and that the kettle is connected to
an earthed socket.
• Do not pull or carry the kettle by the mains lead. Do not use the lead as a handle or
let it get pinched in door jambs. Do not pull the lead around sharp corners or edges.
• Make sure that the lead does not come into contact with hot surfaces, e.g. warm hobs.
• Do not use the kettle if the lead or plug is damaged. Do not use the appliance if
you have dropped it on the floor, left it outdoors or dropped it in water.
• Only allow a qualified technician to repair the mains lead if it is damaged.
• Do not open the housing. Certain components inside the casing are exposed and
carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with these components could result in
electric shock.
• The kettle must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• The kettle must not be taken apart or modified.
• Do not touch the kettle or lid during or after boiling since it becomes very hot.
Use only the handle. There is a risk of scalding.
