At low volumes the human ear does not perceive very low and very high
sounds well. An increase of the frequency range for low volume (loudness
correction) counteracts this effect and the music replay sounds more natural.

The audio data are stored in an interim storage for a short time to guarantee a
continuous replay even in case of vibrations and shocks when the CD player
would normally produce an interruption.
The higher the setting, the better interruptions are prevented.
