Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips!
To fully benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your product at

You and your child now own a Sonicare connected toothbrush.
The Bluetooth connected toothbrush interacts with a fun brushing mobile
device application to keep your child engaged while they learn proper
brushing techniques.

DANGERS
To reduce the risk of electrocution:

Do not place or store the product where it can fall or be pulled into
a tub or sink.

Do not place the product in or drop it into water or any other liquid.
3
Do not reach for a product that has fallen into water.
Unplug immediately.

Do not use the product while bathing.
WARNINGS
To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to persons:

Discontinue use if this product appears damaged in any way (brush
head, handle, charger). This product contains no serviceable parts.
Refer to chapter 'Warranty and support' if your Sonicare no longer
works properly or needs repair.

Never use the charger if it has a damaged cord or plug.

Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

Do not use the charger outdoors.

Do not use the charger if dropped into water.

This product is designed to clean your teeth, gums and tongue only.
Use this product only for its intended use as described in this booklet.
Discontinue use of this product and contact a physician/dentist if
discomfort or pain is experienced.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.

Young children learning to brush should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

Do not use attachments other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
10 If your toothpaste contains peroxide, baking soda or other bicarbonate
(common in whitening toothpastes), thoroughly clean the brush head
and the handle with soap and water after each use. Otherwise the
plastic may crack.
11 Follow carefully all the safety and warning instructions provided by the
manufacturer when you use other devices near water and wet locations.
Use the instructions provided by the manufacturer to address any food
or liquid spills.
12 Do not charge your phone or tablet in the bathroom.
MEDICAL WARNINGS

Consult your dental professional before you use this product if you have
had oral or gum surgery in the previous 2 months.

Contact your dental professional if excessive bleeding occurs after using
this product or bleeding continues to occur after 1 week of use.

If you have a pacemaker or other implanted device contact your
physician or the device manufacturer prior to use.

This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and
regulations regarding exposure to electromagnetic fields.

Consult your physician prior to using the Sonicare if you have medical

Getting started
Applying the replaceable panel
The Sonicare For Kids comes with 1 replaceable panel.
Remove the adhesive backing from the panel.

Apply the panel to the white section on the front of the handle (Fig. 2).

Note: Make sure you line up the cut-out areas on the panel with the buttons on
the front of the handle.
Apply your favorite sticker to the panel as shown on the sticker sheet

(Fig. 3).
Reapplying a panel that has been removed
Rinse the panel in warm water; you may also use a mild detergent to

clean it.
Let the panel air dry.

Reapply the panel to the white section on the front of the handle.

Attaching the brush head
Align the brush head so the bristles point in the same direction as

the front of the handle (Fig. 4).
Firmly press the brush head onto the metal shaft until it stops.

Note: There is a small gap between the brush head and the handle.
Charging your Sonicare
Plug the charger into a live electrical outlet.

Place the handle on the charger (Fig. 5).

The battery charge indicator in the power on/off button flashes and
,
the handle beeps twice to indicate that the toothbrush is charging.
When the Sonicare is fully charged, the battery charge indicator stops
,
flashing and remains on for 10 seconds before it turns off.
Note: If the battery charge of your Sonicare is low, you hear beeps and the
battery charge indicator flashes rapidly for 30 seconds after the brushing cycle.
Note: To keep the battery fully charged at all times, you may keep your Sonicare
on the charger when not in use. When the battery is fully charged, the charger
draws minimal energy from the electrical outlet. It takes at least 24 hours to
fully charge the battery.
Using the Sonicare For Kids
Bluetooth connectivity
Before you start the connectivity procedure, make sure your mobile device
runs on:

Apple iOS 7 or higher.
-
Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.
Note: For the latest information on device compatibility, please visit the App
Store or Google Play.
Connecting your toothbrush
Download the Philips Sonicare For Kids app from the App Store or

Google Play.
Confirm your smartphone or tablet Bluetooth is on before you open
2
the app. Check the settings on your smartphone or tablet to turn on
the Bluetooth.
