4. Install the drain bolt and tighten it to the
specified torque.
5. Fill the final gear case with the specified
amount of the recommended oil.
Tightening torque:
Final gear oil drain bolt:
17ft·lbf (2.3m·kgf, 23 Nm)
Recommended oil:
SAE 90 API GL-5 gear oil
Oil quantity:
0.26 US qt (0.22 lmp qt, 0.25 L)
CAUTION:
Be sure no foreign material enters the final
gear case when you check or change oil.
6. Install the filler bolt and tighten it to the
specified torque.
Periodic Maintenance and Adjustment
Tightening torque:
Final gear oil filler bolt:
17ft·lbf (2.3m·kgf, 23 Nm)
7. Check for oil leaks. If oil leaks are found,
check for the source of the leak.

Checking the differential gear oil
1. Place the ATV on a level surface.
2. Remove the differential gear oil filler bolt
and check the oil level. It should be up to the
brim of the filler hole. If the level is low, add
sufficient oil of the recommended type level
with the brim of the filler hole.
