Do not use
dollar
signs
or commas
when entering
a
calculation
formula
or
expression into the COMPUTER.
These characters
have special meaning in the
BASIC programming
language.
Now try
these
simple
arithmetic
examples.
Remember to clear with the

going
into operation
examples,
let's
touch
on
some important points
in
operation.
Whereas we
usually use
operators

or

for our mathematical
calculations on
paper,
we
don't
use
the operators

and

for

hmetic operations
in
BASIC.
Instead of
x
and
+.
we use an asterisk(*) and
slash
(/), respectively.
The

respectively.

a manual calculation, operate
