equiva-
lent
and, at the same time, releases the computer
from
the HEX
mode.
(Symbol "HEX" disappears from the display.)
Hexadecimal
notation
is one of the
notation
systems broadly used
in
the computer
field.
The
radix
for
hex
notation is 16 and hex numbers consjst
of
numerals

through 9 and
uppercase letters A
through

used in place
of

15 of
decimal
notation.
