The solenoid valves are directly operated by the thermostats of
each bowl and the compressor shuts off as soon as all the
solenoid valves are de-energized and starts back again as soon
as at least one of them gets re-energized. Sequence and timing
of solenoid valves re-opening are unpredictable and could take
place any time, even before high pressure and low pressure
sections of the circuit are balanced, what would overload the
compressor. In order to prevent such an event, the compressor
re-starting is delayed and allowed only after approx 60 seconds
from the moment that whichever solenoid valve is energized.
On a single bowl unit operated both in Granita and in Soft Drink
mode the device is designed to delay:
1.The starting of compressor of approx 120 seconds when the
unit is switched on.
2.The starting of the compressor of approx 120 seconds from
the moment that the microswitch (Granita mode) or the
thermostat (Soft Drink mode) are activated.
3.On "LS" models it is also aimed to stop the gear motor and
shut off the compressor when the top cover is not properly
positioned on the bowl.
On a single bowl unit there are no solenoid valve. Therefore in
this case the compressor is directly switched on and off by the
microswitch when the unit is operated in Granita mode and by
the thermostat when the unit is operated in Soft Drink mode.
Also in this case the timing of compressor switching on and off
is unpredictable and could take place any time, even before high
pressure and low pressure sections of the circuit are balanced,
what would overload the compressor. In order to prevent such
an event, the compressor re-starting is delayed and allowed
only after approx 120 seconds from the moment that the
microswitch (Granita mode) or the thermostat (Soft Drink mode)
are activated.

12. 5 SAFETY PRESSURE SWITCH

An automatic safety pressure switch is installed on all models to
protect the compressor from possible damages in case of
insufficient ventilation (the warning light at the left of the switch
covers gets ON).
In this case it is important to check that all around the dispenser
there is sufficient space for ventilation (at least 15 cm (5") on
each side and that condenser filter if free from dust or other
obstructions.
In case the warning light is still ON even after these operations
have been carried out it will be necessary to remove the
dispenser panels and inspect if the fan motor is working.

13 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION
In case of damages, the power cord must be replaced by
qualified personnel only in order to prevent any shock
hazard.
1
Daily: inspect the machine for signs of product leaks past
seals and gaskets. If proper assembly does not stop leaks
around seals or gaskets, check for improper lubrication, worn
or damaged parts. Replace parts as needed.
2
Monthly on FBM 1P, FBM 2 and FBM 3 models: remove
the dust from the condenser filter.
ATTENTION
Before any disassembly and/or cleaning procedure make
sure that the dispenser is disconnected from its power
source by unplugging it or switching off the 2-pole wall
breaker.
Remove the only left panel (from faucet side) unscrewing the
two plastic coated screws (see figure 9).
IMPORTANT
Do not wait for the turning on of the safety pressure
switch warning light to remove the dust from the conden-
ser filter.
ATTENTION
Condenser fins are very sharp. Use extreme caution
when cleaning.
3
Replacement of lighted top cover bulb: remove the fixing
screw placed in the upper part of the top cover, remove the
lower part and replace the bulb (using a 24-28V 21W max
bulb). Reassemble the top cover and replace the fixing
screw.(vedere figure 10)
13. 1 MAINTENANCE (TO BE CARRIED
OUT BY QUALIFIED SERVICE
PERSONNEL ONLY)
1
Monthly ONLY on FBM 1 model: remove the dust from
the condenser. To do this unplug the unit or switch off the 2-
pole wall breaker and then remove the panels.
2
Annually: remove the panels and clean the inside of the
machine including the base, side panels, condenser, etc.
3
Never remove the insulating jacket from around the suction
tubing of the evaporator (the copper tubing located on the right
side of gear motor). In case the insulating jacket is missing
replace the entire parts with original spare parts from the
supplier.
4
In order to prevent any damages to the dispenser, all
plastics parts must be lubricated only with grease supplied by
the manufacturer or with another lubricating product suitable for
