Caution:
As a general safety precaution, be sure to provide DC power through either a fuse or DC
circuit breaker with a maximum rating of 3 amps.
Note:
The connection between the earthed conductor of the DC power circuit and the earthing
conductor is provided at the source.
To connect DC power:
1. Make sure the DC power source is turned off.
2. For single source power, remove 1/2 inch of insulation from both ends of two 18

5. Connect the –48 V lead to the –48 V terminal.
6. Connect the +48 V return lead to the appropriate +48 RTN terminal.

Caution:
To avoid equipment damage, make sure that the +48V lead is connected to the
appropriate RTN connector on the terminal block.
a. Insert a small screwdriver in the port above each inserted wire.
b. Tighten the screw to within the torque guidelines printed on the back
panel.
Warning:
Make sure there are no exposed wires.
