8 MACHINE CARE
8.1
DAILY CLEANING
A fully automatic cleaning cycle must be used daily in
order to ensure safe functioning and excellent coffee
quality. All components coming into contact with the
coffee are rinsed and cleaned thoroughly.
Your WMF PROGRAMAT 4 model is optional designed
for liquid cleaning: the WMF Special Liquid Cleaner
comes in a 3 liter container and is automatically portioned
by the machine. Naturally, your WMF customer service
would be pleased to adapt the WMF PROGRAMAT 4 to
powder cleaning if required.
Sections "liquid cleaning" or "powder cleaning" apply,
depending on machine specifications.
8.1.1 LIQUID CLEANING
The liquid cleaning cycle can be started "manually" or
via "timer":
a) MANUAL CLEANING
Caution!
The cleaner is corrosive! If you are in direct contact with
the cleaner, please observe the safety measures on the
packaging and the enclosed safety instruction
"Installation and replacement of the cleaning
container" at all times.
1. Turn operator key switch
brewing charge to Selection: 0L. Wait until current
brewing process is terminated.
2. Dispense remaining coffee with keys
switch position "H" (manual dispensing) until the
empty indicator
