    1 WARNINGS Complete machine safety is an integral WMF product characteristic to which we pay particular attention. Despite all our constructive safety measures, however, every machine is potentially dangerous if not operated properly.     The high brewing capacity together with a starting supply of up to 8 litres makes it possible for the WMF PROGRAMAT 4 to handle supply peaks easily. MACHINE START-UP Before the machine start-up, open the main water valve at the water supply and turn on the main power switch outside the machine.

Increase stored quantity only if absolutely necessary. Always adjust the output according to operating performance – this way storage time can be reduced and the coffee is fresh at all times.

    The timer sequence for the brew quantity selection is activated as follows: Turn the key switch to position “T“. The machine changes the brewing charge according to your selection for the next start-up time. Turn key switch to position “0“ and then to “T“. The machine starts-up at the next selected time with the selected brew quantity.

    CHECKING THE PORTIONED GROUND COFFEE QUANTITY WMF customer service will be pleased to assist you in checking the actual gram throw of the portioned ground coffee. They have the ability to determine the exact weight of the portioned ground coffee.
  • Page 27: Personnel Accounting System Wmf Multicounter

    When equipped with a multicounter, the functions of the WMF PROGRAMAT 4 can be expanded by a maximum of 4 additional sales units with a minimum of one WMF waiter’s terminal each. Each connected unit can be equipped with 8 product selection keys.

    The connection of the sales units is star-shaped: each sales unit has a separate data connection to the WMF multicounter (see Fig. 4). If the WMF multicounter is switched off or malfunctions, each sales unit remains independently functional. Sales data for units equipped with a display can be entered and deleted individually.

    WMF Special Liquid Cleaner comes in a 3 liter container and is automatically portioned by the machine. Naturally, your WMF customer service would be pleased to adapt the WMF PROGRAMAT 4 to powder cleaning if required. Sections “liquid cleaning“ or “powder cleaning“ apply, depending on machine specifications.

    If necessary, unscrew the steam valve on the hot water spout (Fig. 10) and descaler with WMF descaler when machine is shut down and has cooled down. Put the steam valve in a cup of hot water for 10 minutes and add one tea spoon of decalcifier.
