Extra powerful setting
(cooking zones marked
"P")
Each burner is complete with its own sensor for detecting the presence of a pan.
The system is fine-adjusted to recognize the presence of a pan that, according
to the scale of the EN standards, is one size smaller than the nominal diameter
of the burner. If the cooking zone fails to detect any pan or detects an aluminium
pan, power level flashes on its display. After 60 seconds power level display will
return to 0.
If the power level flashes on the display when a pan is actually on the
cooking zone, this generally means that the size or shape of the pan
concerned is unsuitable. In this case, check whether the type of pan is
suitable for induction cooking (see the pan manufacturer's labels or
instructions).
• Selected cooking zone must be activated.
• Touch the sensor (C-) to set the power level to »0«.
Fast deactivation
• Selected cooking zone must be activated.
• Press both (C+) and (C-) sensors simultaneously and the cooking zone is
immediately switched off.
• The hob can be switched off any time by pressing the sensor (A).
By activating the child lock protection you can prevent the operation of the
appliance, i.e. the use of cooking zones, protecting the children from accidental
start and eventual injury.
Activating child lock
• The cooking hob can be turned on or off.
• Touch the sensor (D), the led above it turns on. Child lock is now activated.
Turning off the child lock
• Protection is switched off by pressing the sensor (D); the led above it is
switched off. Child lock is now off.
Glass ceramic hob also features remaining heat indicator "H". Cooking zones
are not heated directly, but through return heat radiating from the pan. As long
as the symbol "H" is on after the cooking zone was switched off, the remaining
heat may be used for warming up food or for melting. Even when the symbol "H"
disappears, the cooking zone may still be hot. Be careful to avoid burns!
Extra powerful setting may be additionally switched on for fast cooking on all
cooking zones. This extra power is used for heating large quantities of food.
After switching on, extra power is activated for ten minutes; then, it automatically
switches back to the maximum normal level 9.
During the time extra power is activated, the power of other cooking zones is
limited. This is indicated on the power display by alternating display of the
selected cooking level and limited power.
Activating extra powerful setting
First select the cooking zone by touching its relevant sensor:
▪ If the zone is at level "0" → immediately after press the sensor (C-), then press
(C+). Extra powerful setting is on, and power indicator displays symbol "P".
▪ If the zone is set at any level (≠0) → press (C+), until "P" appears on the zone's
display.
• After 10 minutes, the cooking zone automatically switches to level 9.
