Thermo Pro 90 HDD
Introduction
Dear Webasto Customer,
Thank you for purchasing the Thermo Pro 90 HDD water heater from Webasto. We hope that
you will find it gives you reliable comfort for years to come.
The heater Thermo Pro 90 HDD works together with the vehicle's heating system to preheat
the cab and engine in parking heating mode.
Regular use of the heater can provide the following advantages:
– Improved safety thanks to clear all-round vision from the moment you move off.
– Reduced wear and cold-start emissions thanks to engine preheating.
– Achieving the comfort temperature even with engines with low waste heat thanks
to the Heating during Travel option.
– Comfort temperature is reached automatically and in an energy-saving way in
vehicles with start/stop system thanks to corresponding heater integration (engine-off
integration).
Equipment for hazardous material vehicles (ADR):
The ADR function is provided depending on the equipment.
We assume that the operation and function has been explained to you by the installing work-
shop/service point to your complete satisfaction. In these operating instructions we would like
to once again provide you with an overview of safe use of the heater.
In order to become familiar with and understand all functions of the heater,
you must read this operating instructions carefully.
This ensures that you will be able to use all functions to your satisfaction and
will feel safe and completely at ease with its operation.
In case of loss, please contact an authorised Webasto dealer immediately for
a replacement document.
Repair or maintenance work not described in this manual may only be carried
out by an authorised Webasto dealer.
Note
Hazardous material vehicles may not be fitted with programmable
or remote-controlled control elements.

The heater Thermo Pro 90 HDD works together with the vehicle's heating system to preheat the cab and engine in parking heating mode.
  • Page 2 Type approval in accordance with the regulations ECE-R 122 (heating) and ECE-R 10 (EMC) is in place for the Thermo Pro 90 HDD water heater in the area covered by European Directive 70/156/EEC and/or EC/2007/46 (for new vehicle types from 29/04/2009).
  • Page 3 For ADR hazardous material vehicles only: The Thermo Pro 90 HDD heater is switched on and off manually by means of a switch. Automatic controllers are prohibited. In vehicles of the type FL, the operation of these heaters is prohibited during loading and unloading and at the loading points.
  • Page 4 Deactivation of the use of residual heat is carried out automatically by the heater control unit. Control elements The Thermo Pro 90 HDD can be fitted with various control elements: – Switch (example 1 ) – MultiControl or SmartControl (example 2 ) A combination of control elements is also possible.
  • Page 5 If a fault code is displayed, please contact your authorised Webasto dealer. The work- shop can use the fault code to narrow down the problem. The workshop also has the option of carrying out detailed troubleshooting using computer diagnostics.
