Select the desired method of HDMI output when using an HDMI mini cable (optional).

The progressive method with 576 available scan lines is used for output.

Connecting with a HDMI mini cable

What is HDMI?
HDMI is the interface for digital devices. When this unit is connected to a HDMI compatible device,
the image and audio can be output with a digital signal. If you connect this unit to a HDMI compatible
high definition TV and then play back the recorded high definition images, you can enjoy them in
high resolution with high quality sound.
If you connect this unit to a Panasonic TV compatible with VIERA Link, linked operations
(VIERA Link) are possible. (F 89)

i= interlace scanning is scanning the screen with half of the effective scanning lines every 1/50
seconds, where p= progressive scanning is a high density image signal that is scanning the screen
with all the effective scanning lines every 1/50 seconds.
The component terminal and the HDMI mini connector on this unit are also compatible with high
definition image output 1080i. It is necessary to have a compatible TV to enjoy progressive and high
definition images.
