– For exchanging the battery or power supply unit, disconnect
both battery cables.
– For all other kinds of servicing, only disconnect the blue
battery cable from the minus (-) pole (left side of the

17.4 Replacing the battery (battery kit)

The battery in the kit is supplied charged. As soon as

it is connected there is power on the AQtap.

Do not short-circuit the two poles of the batteries.
If you connect a discharged battery, it can take up to
12 hours until the AQtap can be operated, even if it is

The waste battery must be disposed of according to

Internal (standby) battery
The rechargeable nonspillable AGM lead-acid battery included in
the AQtap as a backup battery contains lead, it does not contain
mercury and cadmium.

left pole: minus (-) pole, blue cable

1. Prepare the AQtap for internal servicing, see section
17.3 Preparing the AQtap cabinet for internal servicing.
2. Unscrew and remove the screws in the battery clamp.
