Chain Case
NOTE: The snowmobile must be
on a level surface for this procedure.
Check the lubricant level in the chain
case by using the sight glass.
NOTE: The correct level is when
the lubricant is at least halfway up in
the sight glass.
NOTE: Adding lubricant can be
done by the snowmobile owner if
qualified to do so. If the owner does
not feel qualified, take the snowmo-
bile to an authorized Arctic Cat
Snowmobile dealer for this service.
This service is at the discretion and
expense of the snowmobile owner
NOTE: Make sure the snowmobile
is fully shifted into forward.
1. If the lube level is low, remove the
three screws securing the heat shield
and the shift actuator to the chain
case, disconnect the actuator wiring
harness, and remove the actuator
extension, shift detent, and spring.
2. Add appropriate amount of Syn-
thetic Chain Lube through the shift
actuator opening until the lube is
halfway up the sight glass.
