Selecting Line Voltage

There are four line voltage settings: 100 V, 120 V,
200 V, and 240 V (47 to 63 Hz). To check the
setting, note the voltage visible through the
window of the fuse compartment cover. To change
the line voltage setting, see the figure above.

Connecting to Line Power

To avoid shock hazard, connect the
factory supplied, three-conductor
power cord to a properly grounded
power outlet. Do not use a two-
conductor adapter or extension cord;
this will break the protective ground
connection.
Use the rear-panel ground terminal for
a protective grounding wire if there is
any question as to instrument earth
grounding.
The Calibrator comes with the line power plug
appropriate for the country to which it is shipped. If
you need a different plug, refer to Chapter 2 of the
5520A Operators Manual for a list and illustrations
of available plugs.
After you verify that the line voltage is set correctly
and that the correct fuse is installed, connect the
Calibrator to a properly grounded three-prong
outlet.
